Former NDSU track standout Jill Theeler has reached out to her old school with her job as associate athletic director at the University of South Dakota. The Coyotes are in their second year of the Division I reclassification and the administrative details are numerous and not easy.
NDSU has been cooperative in lending a hand.
"We learned a lot from SDSU and NDSU going ahead of us," Theeler said, during a conversation for a "Where Are They Now" newspaper segment. "We have them to thank. In my world of compliance and internal administration, I’ve reached out and Lynn has been helpful and supportive. We’re competitive on the field but we also want our institutions to do well."
Lynn is NDSU women’s athletic director Lynn Dorn. USD won’t start Summit League play until 2011-12 but a regional-based foe from the former North Central Conference can only help attendance, especially in basketball. Moreover, the two will renew their football matchup next fall at the Fargodome.
Uh-oh Jeff, I’m gonna warn you now: you probably don’t want to allow comments on this one…
No kidding, Pot Stirrer. Let me start things off appropriately: LOUD NOISES!!!!!
this is borderline retarded to be playing und/usd if you are ndsu. why you ask? you had the opportunity in the past 6-7 years to push NDSU as the #2 team in this area to Minnesota Gophers (my team).
think about it people, by getting back on the field all you have done is give away the PIE that you own and level the playing field again, you will go back to “ONE OF THOSE STUPID DAKOTA TEAMS” when you had everyone in the upper midwest and nationally with woodside, fbs wins knowing who NDSU was.
such a shame, you could’ve been the gonzaga of the midwest behind the gophers, now you will be an afterthought, congrats!
You’re right, first comment. This subject is blood to the piranha.
