Update: Miles’ high school coach Rich Wellbrock said Miles is good friends with Bison recruit Jordan Champion of Westview High School in Avondale, Ariz. He said they played Pee Wee football together and it doesn’t hurt to go somewhere “where you have a buddy.” He also said Miles is closer to 6-2 than 6-0 and that Montana State was also in the mix. “He didn’t take his recruiting trip until December because of our schedule and North Dakota State’s success,” Wellbrock said. “He enjoyed it and made the move last night.”
Here’s the story from Arizonavarsity.com, a Rivals.com site:
“Danell committed to NMSU (NDSU) after a meeting with Bison head coach (Craig) Bohl tonight,” Miles said.
Miles was a two-way performer for Desert Edge. He totaled 86 tackles, four interceptions on defense and rushed for 683 yards and eight touchdowns on offense.
The 6-foot, 190-pounder was named first-team All-4A2 by the AzFCA and first-team All-4A by the Arizona Republic
Miles chose North Dakota State over offers from Montana and Northern Arizona.
You say he committed to “NMSU”, I think you mean “NDSU” at least I hope that is what you mean.
Your blog list the commit to “NMSU”, shouldn’t it be “NDSU”?
Great, it’s been a busy couple days!
Missouri Valley Pride!
Has bill fette been disciplined yet ?
Ndsu recruiting is FBS style, gotta love it!
We are going to be a FBS level program very soon if we keep signing these recruits. I predict 3-4 nat’l championships in a row starting next year. The MVFC is lucky to have us in it.
Seriously. Think before you post.
Unless you’re a sheep owner in wolves’ clothing. Then you can’t help yourself, and all is understood.
Bison03 is just a troll pretending to be a Bison fan to try and make us look stupid. well, we’re not…
i couldn’t agree more, bison03. i would be very surprised if we’re not in the rose bowl within five years. is there a better team in the land? not that i know of.
Welcome to NDSU Danell, here’s to an excellent career with the Bison! GO BISON!
Without a doubt, the Arizona kids are coming to NDSU because AJ Cooper went out and got them. It’s jut as simple as that, AJ works his rear off. Great coach, great recruiter.
When AJ get an opportunity to build his coaching resume, and it will come soon, will the Arizona connection still be there? My guess is probably not.
Probably why the Houston, Mississippi and Michigan recruits dried up: the coach(es) that had the connection(s) to those areas left.
Are the Bison coaches aware that NDSU boosters have been violating NCAA rules and contacting potential recruits via cell phone calls and text messages and bragging about it on Bisonville? Bohl and the staff need to put a stop to this and the individuals in question need to be disciplined or this could get us into really hot water with the NCAA.
CONCERNED. U CAN SUCK A D—!
NDSU IS NOT BREAK-IN A RULE EVER , U A FREAKIN DOUCHE !!!
i agree Concerned Bison Fan. these idiots posting on bisonville need to grow a brain or we could be in hot water.
bison coaches dont post on bisonville you noob
Ming,
Do you know what the definition of “booster” is? If you are a Teammaker, you’re a “booster”. Lots of Teammakers post on bisonville about their contacts with potential recruits, whether it be by text, phone, or Facebook. That stuff is not allowed per NCAA rules.
If you don’t know, sometimes its best to be quiet about things.
