  1. Dom/Jeff….great job again….Question guys…..why cant I find or get the post game comments from coaches and players LIVE VIDEO FEED….every week…Am I looking in the wrong place? help!…..thxs,,,,GO BISON!

  2. Another fun time at the Dome. As much complaining about the game not being shown, and then ESPN showing on pay per view, there was sure a lot of tv timeouts and long ones. This has been the case all year, but I did not know pay per view, had to have commercials to help pay for more.
Well ESPN2 or U will have the games this week, so hopefully our Congress and Senate will be able to keep working. (Sarcasm), dislike politicians from all parties.

Dom and Jeff, as we sit here today, are we better at run-stop or pass-stop? Ga. Southern, from what little I saw in Maine game, seems similar to JMU and Lehigh. The Alabama game seems scary as a Bison fan, but up and down their record, does not seem that impressive. They have tradition on their side, we do too.
    Out here

    • To me, it seems like we can stop either the run OR the pass. We struggle against teams that can effectively do both ie YSU.

As for GSU/Bama, I didn’t watch the game but was told that Bama had their backups in by the 2nd quarter.

      • TS, you need better sources, because the person who said that Alabama was playing its backups in the second quarter was wrong. (Of course, Bama’s third-stringers are better than the starters for the Golden Goofers, but that’s another story.) If you check the stats for the game, you will see that Bama’s Heisman Trophy candidate RB Trent Richardson carried the ball 32 times. You will also see that Bama scored its last TD in the final minute of play on a pass from starting QB AJ McCarron to starting TE Brad Smelley. Finally, you will see that the 302 rushing yards GSU gained against Bama were the most the Tide had allowed on the ground since 2004. One more thing: GSU has actually played SEVEN teams with winning records (Maine, Old Dominion, Alabama, Wofford, App State, Furman, and Samford). Of course, none of those teams can compare to NDSU, so I just hope our players and coaches don’t decide to forfeit. If the Eagles do happen to show up, please take it easy on them!

        • Many of us Bison fans were greatly disappointed when Georgia Southern chose to buy out their return trip to Fargo, which would have happened in the second game this season, in order to play a division II team. We look forward to the game we should have seen earlier in the season. Your athletic department should be ashamed of themselves for not honoring the home and home contract they entered into with NDSU.

I’m glad the Bison are at home and I am looking forward to a great effort from the coaches, team and fans as the Bison advance to the National Championship.

  3. good thinking TS.

Not that this matters as playoffs are a whole new season, but Ga Southern played 8 of 12 teams who had 500 or below records. Only 4 had winning records, one of which was Alabama. People, get your best voice strapped on and lets make the Dome the loudest it has ever been.

    Out here again.

  4. lakes: Just shut the hell up!!!
We are so sick of your embarrasment to NDSU.
Jeff & Dom, please follow Bisonville and ban this embarrasing low life.

  5. Georgia Southern has not played a team this year as talented as they will see Saturday and that is including Alabama’s backups that they played. Starters didn’t play that game.

    • Bison, I’m calling BS on your claim that GSU played Bama’s backups. If you don’t believe me, the game book is available online at both the Bama and GSU web sites. If you recall, Bama was fighting for a berth in the BCS national championship game at the time, so the suggestion that the Tide would risk a sub-par performance by playing their backups is asinine. At any rate, I’m sure that the Bison are the best football team in America outside of Green Bay, so I’m just hoping my Eagles can make them break a sweat. If we manage to stay within 50 points, we’ll consider it a moral victory.

      • Subs were not in..you could possibly argue it was a let down game. But anyway you slice it, it was a great performance by Southern. Obviously Bison fans are excited about the game and are 100% behind them..we also respect Southern. 4 teams left and they are all really good. Good luck Saturday. Go Bison.

  6. If they delay broadcast the game by about 10 minutes or so they wouldnt have to stop it for TV timouts. They could stop the playback for commercials and let the game roll.

  7. The Southern “Feather” and the Bison “Lakes” should just have their own section to make their fan base look bad…leave the rest for fun discussion. Yes, Southern is very very good and it will take a great effort to win…Go Bison!!

  8. Coach Bohl says it gives the Bison an extra day to prepare for the triple option. I think it also keeps the players on routine with another Saturday game. Personally for me the Saturday game is better and from what I understand it doesn’t interfere with winter graduation.

  9. Yes, we all know Gene requested the Saturday game. Yes, that request probably played into the decision, only to make it easier. But you have no proof that if he would have requested the Friday night time slot he would have gotten it. I would say that the Montana/Sam Houston matchup looks better to ESPN than NDSU/Georgia Southern.

  10. The Friday night game was difficult because of graduation. NDSU is, after all Lakes, a university and academics and graduation have priority over athletics. Graduation takes about two hours and that would have butted it right up to graduation and parking would have been a nightmare for both. It was not in the best interest of the university to try and do both on Friday night. Period. End of story.

  11. NDSU has their graduation scheduled for Friday.
Sam Houston State has their graduation scheduled for Saturday.

Based on the graduation schedules NDSU should be hosting GSU on Saturday and SHS should be hosting Montana on Friday.

That’s how it is scheduled and should have been scheduled.

    • Lakes, eventually you’ll need to figure out that FCS is not important to anyone other than those of us that live near, or went to school at one of those top 10 FCS teams—-the rest suck as you have metioned several times. So whether or not the game is on friday night, or saturday afternoon, or monday at 4am, the same small core group of viewers are going to watch. There will be no epiphany in the greater sports world because Sam Houston and Montana is on TV Friday night. Neither will suddenly become the next Ohio State or LSU. So please Lakes, relax. getting worked up over these minor details is not worth it.

      • I agree with Lakes. I know that the Saturday game works better for graduation, work schedules, etc., but NDSU had a chance to be on ESPN. The entire game on ESPN – the big boy network. I don’t imagine that people who don’t know who SHSU and NDSU are would sit and watch the whole game, but they would at least catch glimpses and NDSU would gain exposure of a magnitude that they haven’t had in a very long time, maybe even ever.
Get your priorities straight? Regardless if Commencement was Friday or Saturday, those students were going to graduate. Having NDSU on ESPN would have been a great recruiting tool, and not just for athletics. I can’t believe that no one else sees that – I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

  12. Get your priorities straight.

NDSU graduation has been scheduled for this Friday for ages. He did the right thing asking for the football game to be on Saturday.

    You should be embarrassed.

  13. Jeff

What is the McFeely/Delta St story from 2000 that you mentioned in your tweet? I was a bit young back then so I don’t know the deal.

  14. No Fart-n-Go Dome on national TV? You’re saying national TV don’t find Fargo or an ugly dome attractive for national TV? Shocking.

    • Domes suck for football if you are the opposing team.

Why don’t you get up here and see the “dump” for yourself. Hell, I’ll even get you drunk before we send you back to Statesboro with a loss.

  15. A Prime Time Friday Night game on ESPN would be a great experience. Be great for recognition, recruiting, showcasing the school, ect. But, the goal is to WIN the football game. It is to our benefit to play on Saturday. It keeps us in our routine, and routines are important, give us another day to prepare for a very very good team, allows the Dome to be FULL. All of this will help us vs GS and we wouldnt have that with a Friday game. If we want real national exposure and recognition, lets with a National Title.
