North Dakota State may yet add another running back to its recruiting class. Hutchinson Junior College’s Deveon Dinwiddie, a source of speculation over the past week or so, is making a campus visit to NDSU this weekend. Contrary to a newspaper report in Kansas, he said he has not signed.
He is the brother of Bison freshman linebacker DeShawn Dinwiddie, which he calls “a close relationship and is a real strong tie.”
“We’ve always played on winning programs,” Deveon said. “With my brother there, we can push each other that much harder. We always have. It would be a great thing if I do get an offer.”
He said he has three years of eligibility remaining, again which has been a source of confusion. He suffered a knee injury and redshirted his freshman year at Hutchinson in 2010. He had 860 yards and 12 touchdowns this season and started for a 9-3 Hutchinson team. He said he was also looking at Arkansas, Nevada, Alabama-Birmingham and San Diego State, but did not get an offer.
Dinwiddie signed at Kansas State in high school, but he said “it didn’t work out.”
Deveon looks like he could really help the Bison, it looks like he has that extra gear that could seperate him from alot of players
Maybe they are talking about a simulated game on EA Sports NCAA Football 2011.
I watched the game and Sam Houston State still wouldn’t have more than 6 points the way the Bison defense was playing. The Bison defense completely dominated the game and especially the second half.
