I can’t read German but apparently former Bison safety John Pike is making an impression for his football team in Germany. Check out the team’s website and a montage of former Bison photos from Pike is on scroll No. 5.

In other Bison stuff, the softball team moved up to No. 8 in the Division I midmajor poll. We’re at the point in the season now where it’s more accurate to pay attention to these rankings and potential qualifiers for the NCAA tournament.

Ach du lieber!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go Piker!
Go Bison
Go Herd
Heard Gene Taylor talking a bit about the spring game. He thinks there will be over 3,000 at the game. I am still thinking it is going to be closer to 8,000.
8,000 if it wasn’t televised. 3,000 will be great. There are schools who can’t get 3,000 for homecoming! Go Bison!
I think with full fledged tailgating we will see a nice turnout. Spread the word and get your tailgating crew together! Anything less than 4,000 will be sad. I want to see 6k and we can start a new spring tradition. High of 60 on Saturday
Guten Tag, Herr Kolpack!
We opened the Stuttgart website, did a right click, and “Translate with Bing” appeared on the menu. Clicked, followed directions, and enjoyed the text in English. It’s great to see our Bison go international! Ach du meine gute! (That would be Scott Miller’s “my oh my” roughly translated.)
Jeff or Dom, out of curiosity, how does this European football compare with Canadian football?
One of their quarterbacks is 53 years old !
Joe Capp came out of retirement??
Didn’t Warren Moon also begin his career in Canada? I attended a Blue Bombers – Stampeders game last summer. I was skeptical at first but have to admit it’s an exciting game. It’s great summer football fix for those of us who are football junkies. Just wonderin how this European league is and is it available anywhere on U.S. television?
Yup, This is right from their roster:
Günther, Michel, QB, 53 Jahre (Age), Deutschland
Plus two offensive linemen ages 45 & 44 all from Deutschland. And it’s not big deal as I looked at the rosters of other teams in that league. Man, those Germans must be tough!
hey man, have you talked to DJ/Matt?
how jacked up are they? its gotta be crazy exciting for them, I wish them the best as all ndsu fans im sure.
Pike will be huge in Germany like David Hasselhoff
