It was an electric atmosphere at the Fargodome Saturday from the masses that got to the new tailgating lots early, to the banner celebration, then to the actual game. NDSU looked sloppy early, up 17-0 at halftime, before a third quarter put the game away to win 52-0. Jeff and I recap everything here, much more coming later on Sunday.
Great win to start off defending the championship!
Good stuff guys.
Looks like the YSU game will be another head knocker. Glad I have my tickets for that one.
Looking forward to seeing the OL against the big boys from CSU. After reading a little about their game with CU it sounds as if their DL is pretty good. This game will be a good one for NDSUs OL to grow up.
I watched the CSU-CU game. CSU’s Defense reminded me of SHSU’s Defense. Also, their offense looked pretty competitive with their O-line doing a pretty good job. NDSU will need to bring it next weekend. CSU will be pumped to back up its performance against CU on its home field. It will be a test for the O-line for sure. The Defensive line will need to control the line of scrimage much as they did against SHSU. It wil be a great game to watch. Go Bison!!!
Well played game, some first game corrections obviously, but I was most impressed with the start of the O line. Bob Morris either had nothing for pass rushing, or Brock was totally comfortable with a lot of time to sit back and fire. Way to go O line. Defense, awesome job again.
Make that 4 FCS wins over FBS in Week 1 – McNeese St., Eastern Washington, Youngstown St. and Tennessee-Martin. Let’s hope the momentum continues
Interesting. So 4 FCS conferences – Southland, Big Sky, Missouri Valley and Ohio Valley – each produced a winning team against an FBS opponent.
It has been a long time since Colorado had a good football team. It is hard to judge much against them.
CSU’s coach is from Alabama…was he the offensive coordinator there?
