  1. im a fargo voter, this is petition fraud not vote fraud. also mcfooly on kfgo averages 2400/listeners according to arbitron data so wit h120,000 people in fargo thats about .0018% so he can leave fargo and no one would notice. also i came back from the colorado state game 10pm sunday night and went to watch channel 6 sports thinking id see ndsu highlights or something about the big win i witnessed. Zero, absolutely nothing, on ndsu in fact a whole minute on und football, seriously? your wdaz/wday weekend thing has to go, its horrible that you even have to go out of your way to show grand forks stuff especially when my family comes home from 1200 mile drive and our own towns tv station cant even cover it for us. end that please.

ps- people in fargo need to get a life, this stuff if so overblown its ridiculous. travis beck gets a minor? about 300 ndsu kids got minors just last week, wheres their ink?

    • Thanks for watching, we led our show Sunday night with Gene Taylor’s reaction that the players would not be suspended, and in our sportscast we featured soundbites and highlights from Colorado State with Brock Jensen and Cole Jirik. Again thanks for watching.

          • You are dumping on Dom for this problem?

Dom and Jeff have elevated the coverage of Bison athletic accomplishments to a much greater level the past 2 years.

    • Is this the same Fargo voter that held drivers licenses in both North Dakota and Minnesota? Why didn’t you watch the station you work for?

  2. i have to agree with the previous poster about the minor thing… this happens all the time and the only reason it’s news is because this is a football player.

they are held to the same student conduct standards as any other student and as such will be treated the same. Unfortunately, Bison = ratings (paper, online or otherwise).

Most of the local media trying to tow the line (i.e. kolpack and izzo) however the way that they pick and choose what stories are “news” and what are not is a little disingenious.

I kwow for a fact at least 2 individuals who play for local schools (not NDSU) who have received a MIP over the past year that there was no media coverage on….

    • There are many incidents that happen at other schools that don’t make the news. Why? I suppose nobody cares. A good story would be to find out what other schools do for disipline and compare that to NDSU. I think Bohl has been very consistent throughout the years.

This is a unique situation that is not going to lead to other disipline problems if Bohl chooses to suspend or not suspend these players.

  3. what is worse? doing something that will be legal for him in probably a matter of months, or petItIon fraud costing hundreds of thousands dollars? which, by the way, will never be legal. something isn’t right here.

    • How did not getting to vote for medical marijuana costs hundreds of thousands of dollars???

This is minor compared to what the State spent on the 10 year fight with the NCAA about a nickname that they ultimately did what the NCAA wanted them to do. That was a huge waste of money. Especially making a stupid law after the lawsuit was settled. This is something you should be complaining about.

  4. I understand that what these players did was illegal. My question is for the supporters of these two measures: Why did they need to hire an out-of-state company to gather the signatures? If these measures are that important and people feel that passionate about the issues, couldn’t they find in-state volunteers to carry the banner and get the signatures? Maybe they didn’t have the support of the ND people?

  5. Arlan you just asked the $64,000 question.Usually N Dakotans get all indignant with out of staters meddling in our politics I witnessed an altercation between a signature ‘employee’ and a gentleman at the street fair. The employee was calling the other fellow names because he would not sign. I turned to my daughter and told her nothing good will come from selling democracy. Sorry to say I was right.
