It’s become a Sunday staple everyone, the weekly FCS Ramblings from the Izzo ranch, great day of games yesterday, stunning results out of the Big Sky, seeing Eastern Washington and Cal Poly both fall, opening the door for Northern Arizona(!) of all teams to have the inside track to win the conference championship, who saw that? Indiana State needs to win out and they take the Valley championship, two tough games remain for them; host Illinois State, then at Youngstown State. NDSU’s road to a repeat title will not be easy, at Missouri State, home to SDSU, at Illinois State, Jeff and I have said numerous times that game at ISU could be even more important than the 2010 finale at Missouri State. Enjoy the video!
A really good synopsis Dom! Thanks for doing it. You sound excited. Made me even more excited!
I hope we get 4 teams from the Valley in the playoffs, so we can see how our conference represents in the final field.
You should add Sacramento St. to the Big Sky playoff picture. A 6-3 record with a big win over Cal Poly. If they can pull the upset this weekend at home against Mt. State they will finish with at least 7 wins and 2 wins against top 10 teams.
Wow!! Sac St….. who would have thought they had any aspirations of playoff hopes in September, especially after, what must be for them, an embarrasing loss to und.
MVFC is without a doubt the toughest football conference in the country. If we get 3 teams in I expect we’ll see one of those 3 back in Fargo for the semi-finals.
I wonder how much last year’s poor showing by UNI against Montana state will affect how many teams get in for big sky vs the valley.
