A crowd of over 18 thousand packed the Fargodome this afternoon to see a classic Missouri Valley football game; NDSU and SDSU played a tight defensive battle; the Bison defense made the plays they needed to and win the Dakota Marker for the 3rd straight year. NDSU clinches a share of the Missouri Valley conference and in the process wraps up at least a three or four seed for the FCS playoffs, with the possibility of least hosting 2 playoff games. Join, Jeff, Big E and I with some thoughts on the game and a look ahead.
First possession of the game, right after the whistle, Levon Perry hit the SDSU QB in his mouth and sacked him. I almost thrashed my entire house , shouting Yeah Yeah Yeah thats what I am talking about….
but then the offense somehow just doesn’t fire me up like the defense. QB getting sacked, incomplete passes, throwing interceptions…how can we win a championship if we make mistakes like this from the past 3-4 games
In addition to all the other spoils of victory mentioned The Bison also secure the title of Best College Football Team in the Dakotas!
Go Bison! Go Dakota Big Three!
The Bison offense needs to develop in to a consistent and realiable threat. They are very shaky right now.
Wait… so they couldn’t sell out a game against their huge new rival with the conference championship on the line?
The people that sit next to us take 4 seats and they couldnt make it because of weather. That caused a lot of empty seats. Maybe not as strong a contingent from SDSU as we might have thought although I had several conversations with SDSU fans at the hotel.
