Bison Video Blog – Sunday FCS Quarterfinal Ramblings

Back again in the Izzo Bunker, with plenty of thoughts on this weekend’s 4 matchups, which include 2 rematches from last year’s quarters, Georgia Southern-Old Dominion and Montana State-Sam Houston State. There was some NDSU player movement as well, with 3 players leaving the team (DeShawn and Deveon Dinwiddie along with true freshman Jacob Davis) we’ll have more info
on those moves and quarterback Brock Jensen’s injury tomorrow. Enjoy this to
preview a fun week with Wofford!

  1. I was going through the post on Wofford Terrier’s blog and the Wofford fans are talking about how Bison is focusing on just stopping Wofford’s triple option running play and not worried about their (Bison) own offensive plan.

Its more expensive and time consuming to get new players compared to keeping the exsisting players happy. Bison management should focus on keeping exsisting players motivated, focused and happy.

    • How does the Wofford Terriers blog know what the Bison coaching staff is doing this week?

  2. Why is Ill. St. winning a shock? The USA Today (Jeff Sagarin) had them as a favorite. In fact Sagarin’s algorithm was a perfect 8 for 8 on Saturday.

  3. It’s fine if the Terrier fans want to think the Bison aren’t getting their offense ready for Saturday. I think they better worry about new plays we may pull out of the hat for them like we did for South Dakota State.

  4. Any word on why the 3 players left the team? Lack of playing time, I assume? Have they left school? Being as final tests are next week, it would seem strange to leave now. How does this affect their potential eligibility at other schools?
