Two playoff rounds and a dead heat, took a couple fliers last week on Illinois State, Cal Poly and Stony Brook, only the Redbirds came back with a win, Jeff tried on Coastal Carolina, but won on the games I lost on, so we got a tie game going here. Some great games this weekend, a reminder that all 4 home teams won last year in the quarterfinals. Look for our picks on the NDSU-Wofford game in tomorrow’s Forum and of course the Bison PreGame Show located in the NDSU Student Section line outside the Dome! Also let’s see Kolpack’s knowledge on Division 2 and 3 Football!

Bison being in Division II seems so long ago. Thank you Gene Taylor, Craig Bohl, coaches and players. You make us proud everytime you step on the field.
Hope the hoodrats lose!
How can anyone be proud of thieves who steal from their employer by getting paid for not doing the work. What a joke!!!
I can’t wait to see the final score of the Old Dominion-Georgia Southern game. I’m guessing it’ll be triple digits.
Nice to see upper Midwest teams going deep into the playoffs at D3, D2 and FCS levels.
You both got the Army-Navy game wrong! Go Army!
Sam Houston State looks pretty tough again. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit that they make it back to the national championship game.
Picks of remaining games:
GSU vs ODU =>GSU
Bison vs. Wofford => Bison 35 Wofford 10
Illinois State vs E Washington => Illinois State
Jeff & Dom how could you pick Montana St. They are terrible and looked terrible. Shows that the Big Fluffy is just that, a overated conference. Sam Houston has the tools to be back in the NC game.
I will only pick the Bison game this week. NDSU-24 Wofford-10
■Sam Houston St at Montana St – Sam Houston St. The Bearkats are the better team, but how much will Montana weather give them fits?
■Georgia Southern at Old Dominion – Georgia Southern. One Conference that has alot of problems with the triple option this time of year is the CAA, along with many others except NDSU.
■Illinois St at Eastern Washington – Illinois State. Impressed with their win at App. St last week. Can they fly across the other half of the Country and win another game at a tough place to play? If they are not suffering from jet lag and time zone changes I think they can.
SWAC Championship
■Jackson St at Arkansas-Pine Bluff – Ark-Pine
Best Game Of The Year
■Navy vs Army – Navy
Division 2 Semifinals
■Valdosta St vs MSU Mankato – Mankato St.
■West Texas A&M vs Winston-Salem – Salem
Division 3 Semifinals
■Mary Hardin-Baylor vs Mount Union – Mount Union
■Wisconsin-Oshkosh vs St Thomas – St. Thomas. (What… no Whitewater??) This has got to be the first time in like 50 years the Div. 3 final will not be Mount Union and WhiteWater. (Yes… a little sarcastic on 50 years.)
Wofford @ NDSU – NDSU. No worries about Wofford speed. If Defense can play their roles and stop Wofford from gaining momentum and time of possession, I don’t think this is even close. If Bison take lead and get up early, tough for triple option to catch up. If Wofford shoots a gap and gets a couple big run plays and sticks around, will be close. Williams will have special teams TD today. Bison Defensive Coaches have been stellar in game plan and schemes and I expect no difference today.
Is the nickel up for grabs?
NDSU over Wofford
Looks like you both are starting 0-1 after the Montana St. game.
After watching SHSU/MSU game last night, SH was the better team and was actually prepared to play. MSU looked unprepared and not focused at all. Was actually a pretty boring game to watch.
Bearkats and Bison look to be on a collision course for a FCS National Championship rematch on January 5.
Today: Bison 35-10…defense will create offense.
Watch out for the Big Chubby today ( RB Eric Breitenstein). If the Bison can put a lid on him like a did on Zack Zenner and keep an eye on the long air balls we should good.
Don’t see how any one dementional team can beat the Herd. I think we will be playing GSU next week, Would love to see Ill. St beat EWU. I will say all MVFC or Bison/Bobcats championship.
Why is the ODU and GS game on “free” tv and we have to pay to watch the Bison?
