Bison Video Blog: Sunday Night Ramblings (Hoops, Pigskin and Wrestling)

Plenty to talk about tonight from the Bunker, we’ll revisit yesterday’s game in Brookings where NDSU lost for the 2nd straight year by double digits, also more on Trayvonn Wright’s injury and what this means going forward. Also an update to NDSU football recruiting and why linebacker is so important to this recruiting class and an impressive weekend for the Bison grapplers, enjoy!

  1. Thanks Dom.

Any chance that TrayVonn will be able to play on Thursday? If not the Bison will have a very thin bench.

Would Saul pull a redshirt if TrayVonn is out for a while? Do the Bison have any players redshirting?

I wonder why so many linebackers have flamed out. It is a very important position in the Tampa 2. I would think that Esley Thorton would be much improved and playing alot more minutes after a full offseason working as a linebacker.

The recruiting class looks promising so far. Can’t wait until they sign their names on the dotted line.

    • Saul wasn’t sure on Sunday night if it’s a sprain or to what degree, will maybe find out more today. TrayVonn is in a walking boot. There will be no redshirts pulled.

    • Simple way the Bison don’t get a TV game…..

NDSU RPI is 59, SDSU is 60. SDSU just beat NDSU by 16 and is tied with them in the Summit Standings.

Add to that there’s a little more headlines behind the Jacks. They have the NBA prospect (Wolters). They have the marquee non-conference win (New Mexico). And of course they made the Dance last year.

Unless ESPN doesn’t like televising the same team in consecutive years (and my guess is they really don’t care), there’s really nothing nationally interesting that jumps off the page about the Bison, especially with the fact their two best players might both be out a while now. Guess the one guy who said we’d be getting an at-large last week is bumming now……

  2. Kind of off topic, but I really appreciate the Bison Media Blog. Thanks for the work, Dom and Jeff.
