  1. Three tongue in cheek suggestions and a why not suggestion. How about Slippery Rock , Stoney Brook or Rolling Rock. And then there’s Hawaii. Think of the North Dakotans that would go to that game. Get the island stocked with liquor and lefsa. Only problem, is those people may not come back.

    • i’m here because i enjoy all the information i can get regarding UND athletics so, after reading UND’s articles and blogs, i can always find more to read about on the Bison blog, as there’s a constant interest in UND here.

        • @Red River; sorry i took so long to get back to you. Maybe you missed it, but the “choke job” was a reference to a close UND basketball game loss. To your second question, roughly 80% or more of the bison blog’s posts have referenced UND since the beginning of February. Examples being scheduling, big sky conference doings, and slanderous comments about UND. It is very entertaining to read; Jeff and Dom do a great job of reporting- and the delusional fan base do a great job of providing comic relief. If you have any more questions i will be happy to answer them.

  6. Nice jab at UND Jeff. Still have that little brother syndrome from all those years covering NDSU while they consistently lost to UND in all sports. Stick to Fargo buddy. Those days are on the horizon very soon as well.

    • It’s always been NDSU’s goal to reach and achieve what UND has. UND is in the rear view mirror John “buddy”. The Undies had their bragging rights a few years back and they just can’t move on from their all time highs of defeating NDSU. That was their Super Bowl. Now they need to maintain their focus on hockey with the likes of the D1 power house Bemidji St. or the rough and tumble Quinninniniapacpac.
      Dom and Jeff, your Bison Blog is always informative and interesting. Keep up the good work. Don’t let the trolls bother you. There must be nothing interesting at UND if they need to show up here.

    • Kolpack doesn’t have the stones to bad mouth anything NDSU. If he finds out something negative, he gets Terry Vandrovec to blog about it, then links to the blog. Pretty pathetic really. Back to back titles and the small time beat writer feels the need to take jabs at a school that NDSU has moved on from. Classy.

    • Why would have Jeff said it if this isn’t the reaction he wanted. You can see how Dom starts laughing and the smirk Jeff gets. This was preplanned. Who cares what the losers to the north think.

  12. Isn’t it possible that the choke job reference was in solidarity for the announcer who was suspended? UND overreacted and Dom and Jeff wanted to use that term not to make fun but more of a statement that it’s not that big of a deal.

    The UND/NDSU thing is so frickin’ old. UND fans…. go home. NDSU fans… stop being so defensive.

    I hate to say it but following NDSU athletics will be SOOOO much better when the alumni from the 1970s and 1980s are too old to care to post on message boards and internet blogs.

  14. It really doesn’t matter why Kolpack inserted snide referrals to UND. The fact that he is even thinking about UND when he is giving a report on NDSU is indeed very interesting. It is time for the Fargo media to move on.

    • On behalf of Kolpack I would like to say sorry to the UND fans and instition. Since the Undies never bring up anything related to NDSU , good or bad, it is very unfair for a Fargo sports journalist to make a mean “choke job” comment.
      For what it’s worth, I almost choked on my toast this morning. Oops, sorry UND.
      As far as Montana St. goes. I beieve they have done more harm than good in relation to scheduling with NDSU or other schools in the future for that matter. May be not in the short term but in the long term. NDSU will be just fine.

Guarantee the msu pussycats will be traveling on the front ends of any home and homes, if they can find a team who will sign a home and home with them…………doubt they would find any team gullible enough, now, to go to Bozotown first. Also, the buyout clauses of any contracts will be skyrocketing.

  17. It certainly has been a fun year. I enjoyed the parade of NDSU athletes marching in and out of court. That was quite a display. Of course who could forget the never ending saga of GT sticking his foot in his mouth. What a year. Everyone is so proud in Fargo.

    • Don’t forget about the DI National Championsip in football that all of Fargo and North Dakota was watching on ESPN last month. Don’t forget about Bison basketball on ESPN tommorrow night against Akron in the Brackbuster game. Don’t forget about the volleyball and softball teams in the NCAA tournaments. Don’t forget about Amy Anderson on prime time TV.

        • ah andy, you’re school has ZERO, count them ZERO accomplishments in the D1 ever. Not 1 signature win in any sport. case closed.

          • So I guessing your saying that your volleyball team wasn’t in the national tournament. How did your volleyball and women’s basketball teams do against UND this year? Your men’s basketball team did beat UND this year after losing last year. Of course UND only had half our team playing this year or you would of lost that game again to.

  19. Its amazing how easily the und lurkers on here are able to turn the attention of the Bison media blog into the und discussion board. Bison, ignore the und comments/commenters being posted here they will go away. If you respond they will just keep coming back and back and back…….
