Good stuff as always. Love the blog. One question: Since moving into the new studio do you guys have to share one chair?
Dom or Jeff did the Bison recruit Aaron Lien from Moorhead High?
Yes NDSU recruited Aaron Lien. The thought process was Aaron Lien or Aj Jacobson and they chose AJ. Carlin Dupree from Wisconsin is legit and a steal for NDSU. With only 1 senior leaving , NDSU couldnt add all 3.
Ps. State of north dakota got $850 MILLION in oil tax money but NDSU can’t get $2 – 5 million for BSA? & they wont even let construction start with that much short that’s unbelievable
I live here in Biz now and work for the State. It seems the rest of NoDak has a disdain for the Fargo region and refuses to contribute proportionally to the area; it is sad. Yet Fargo still thrives…
Thought Lien got a walk-on offer from NDSU. NDSU had two scholarships to give. One is going to AJ Jacobson and the other is going to Carlin Dupree.
bisoNation and In Beofre the Trolls, thanks for all the info it is appreciated! Is anybody surprised the men didn’t win the Summit league indoor track meet or did everyone know that USD was legit?
Thanks Dom and Jeff- I trust Gene Taylor, and the #1 Goal is the Championship, but since you mentioned it… ‘Bama is open on 11/2 also- Back to Back versus Back to Back, Roll Herd vs Roll Tide!!!
Is there any scenario where ‘Bama would play at FargoDome and give the Bison a 6th home game? Some kind of TV Revenue split possibly? How badly did it hurt Georgia Southern’s polling when they played a highly ranked FBS team late? Is there anything for NDSU to gain from that type of game, beyond assuaging my fanboy curiosity?
Good news that Taylor Braun was cleared by doctors yesterday and practiced with the team last night. Hopefully he can get a few minutes tonight and then some more Saturday against Omaha. He should be pretty close when the Summit tournament starts in 10 days. I see the Bison playing on ESPN again in the Summit conference championship game.
Not Lakes it would be fun to see the Bison play the Tide to see just how large a talent gap there is from FCS champs to FBS. First I don’t believe there is any way Alabama comes to the Fargodome. Second I don’t think the Bison would wanna play a powerhouse that late in the season when they are getting ready for the playoffs. I am sure NDSU would prefer to have that date in November open to let their players heal up. Go Bison!
Nice to see some news about other Bison sports programs. T&F has always been a powerhouse for the school. It did make me think about how I haven’t heard wrestling mentioned from you guys at all. I heard the program was doing fairly well…wrestling has been notable since I was at SU (the first time). Thanks!
