North Dakota State is having fun in the Chicagoland area with its 2019 recruiting class.
For the second time in three days, the Bison received a verbal commitment from a linebacker named Luke. Wednesday it was Luke Weerts from Batavia, Friday it was Luke Dwyer from Lake Zurich.
Dwyer is 6’3, 200 pounds and an all-conference performer. He had fifteen total offers, ranging from the Naval Academy and Army to most of the Mo Valley. Dwyer made it clear that since NDSU believed in him early on, that was a huge factor in why he decided to go to Fargo. NDSU was the first to offer Dwyer, who told me he likes playing linebacker, but unlike Weerts, he’s not as physical, but loves the speed of the game.
Dwyer mentions Joe Klanderman as his main recruiter, which is two home runs for the Bison secondary coach in the Land of Lincoln. Dwyer says he’ll be in Fargo next week for the individual camp to get further acquainted with the coaching staff. You can hear my full interview below.
