Lost in all the emotion and discussion of NDSU’s near-miss at the University of Minnesota last weekend was one very important fact: the Bison came out of the game with no serious injuries.
Considering the early-season rash of hurts, the Bison are about as healthy as they could expect heading into the Great West season. It appears only offensive guard Jerrod Wagner is still on the questionable list.
It was a major fear of head coach Craig Bohl that the Bison would be walking wounded heading to Southern Utah this weekend. The theory was the two I-A games — Ball State and Minnesota — would take its toll on the disabled list.
It actually worked in reverse against the Gophers. It was Minnesota that is a tad banged up this week with tight end Matt Spaeth the biggest name who will not play against Ohio State.
