Bison PostGame Show vs James Madison

Bison PostGame Show vs James Madison

It’s a rarity in sports. When the game is better than the hype. But that’s what we had Saturday afternoon in Frisco, Texas where North Dakota State snapped James Madison’s 26 game win streak and the Bison reclaimed their spot on top of the FCS mountain, beating the Dukes 17-13.

Easton Stick was named game MVP after going 13 for 22 for 130 yards and a touchdown. The Bison defense was tremendous, forcing three JMU turnovers, including intercepting Bryan Schor twice in the win. NDSU added in four sacks, two by sophomore Derrek Tuszka in a suffocating effort.

There is plenty to discuss, join Mike McFeely, Eric Peterson, Jeff Kolpack and myself in a final postgame show of the year.

I want to thank everyone who watched this season and for posting comments on here. We wouldn’t be able to do this without your support!

Bonus nerd-stat – The Bison record in FCS Championship games is 6 – 0. If you include Division II, they are 11 – 2 in Championships. Three other earlier D II Championships were by AP polling.

To paraphrase a famous quote – “You fell victim to one of the classic blunders – the most famous of which is “never get involved in a land war in Asia” – but only slightly less well-known is this: “Never go in against the Bison when a Championship is on the line”! “

If you don’t want Big E to comment, just don’t invite him on the blog. If you want him, give him a mike that works. Seriously – great work all year, guys. Lots of pride in NDSU in the region, and you give a look inside the machine that makes it all work.
