Bison Postgame Show vs South Dakota

North Dakota State returned to the win column Saturday in resounding fashion with a 49-14 win over South Dakota.

Easton Stick completed 11 of 12 passes for 307 yards and a touchdown and ran for another.

Sophomore running back Ty Brooks ran for 153 yards and three touchdowns as the Bison offense got back on track.

NDSU (9-1) clinches a share of the Missouri Valley Football Conference for the seventh straight year and can win the league outright next Saturday with a victory at Illinois State.

Mike McFeely, Eric Peterson, Jeff Kolpack and Dom Izzo recap the NDSU win.

Is Cole Davis ready to play, if needed?

No, all he could do was handoff, he can’t take a hit. Likely would be ready for the playoffs.

The biggest change in the Bison was OC removing his head from his arse. He wants to run a Big Sky pass happy offense out of the shotgun and then the run out of it also. It didn’t work well for three games and I think Klieman shut him down. Stick was under center predominantly today and the Bison got back to running power, something Stick is more comfortable with. Get the Big Fluffy stuff out of Fargo!

I don’t think play calling had anything to do with Easton missing receivers and fumbling the football. I actually thought the power play was bottled up pretty well by USD. Most of the rushing yards seemed to be jet sweeps, Brooks towards the edge in that off-tackle area, or Easton out of the shotgun with the read-option. To try to put all the blame on Messingham is more than a little unfair.
