Bison Video Blog: 2018 Fall Camp Practice #5

Bison Video Blog: 2018 Fall Camp Practice #5

The pads were put on for the first time this morning on the north side of Fargo as NDSU is nearing the end of its install period.

The media had access to about four periods of practice (roughly 20 minutes) so I tried to observe and take in as much as possible during that time frame. I spent some time with the wide receviers, which is an interesting group to me. Kolpack had a feature on Western Michigan transfer Jimmy Kepouros that you can read here, curious to see how his fall camp goes. After Darrius Shepherd, I believe there are reps to be won. Dimitri Williams is getting reps at running back right now this fall, Desmond Cain and Dallas Freeman each played in 2017, but how much can you count on them? After that there’s the young guys: Christian Watson, Kenneth Channelle, Zach Mathis and Phoenix Sproles. I think two of those players will be big contributors this season.

Couple other notes from practice today, sophomore Josh Hayes was not practicing today, nor was freshman Zach Mathis each were in the jerseys but not participating.

NDSU holds its media day tomorrow, look for a video report to recap everything from there tomorrow.
