Why do they even have this Coach’s Poll? It’s complete garbage and makes the whole Poll situation look completely idiotic. Get rid of it already!

Agreed. If I were a coach and was giving enough attention to what was going around the nation to be able to vote knowledgeably, I would expect to be fired for not doing my job – getting my team ready for the next game.

I don’t know about the fans or the media, but I can promise you the Bison players and coaches want another crack at SDSU.
    Go Bison!

I agree with your assessment about how the committee looks at top 25 wins. If they ignore that, what exactly is their criteria for seeding?? I suspect they make selections based on “regional balance”, and would steer clear of seeding 3 MVFC teams, esp. if USD wins vs. SDSU.

I do not have the faith in the committee that you do Dom. By saying Bison fans should cheer for SDSU to win so they will be a 4 or 5 seed you are assuming that the Bison will be a 2 or 3 seed. I don’t see this committee putting Bison at #2, because that would make too much sense and these knuckleheads only want to punish NDSU, not reward. SOC really means nothing to them since most of the committee is made up of commissioners crom weak conferences. Bison could be a 3 seed, but my guess is they will set it up so if Bison advance they will have to go to JMU.
