What a fabulous football game. The game lived up to its billing, one versus three in the country and it was a good one, as North Dakota State edged South Dakota State, 21-17. The Bison relied on Easton Stick’s legs, running for 63 yards and some crucial first downs to ice the game against the Jackrabbits.
SDSU surged into the lead in the third quarter after as Isaac Wallace 61 yard touchdown run, but the Bison responded as Stick found the endzone to give NDSU a 21-17 lead.
The Bison defense tightened in the fourth quarter, including two huge tackles by Dan Marlette on third down.
With the win, NDSU re-takes the Dakota Marker for the first time since 2015 and gives them an advantage on SDSU in any potential tiebreaker scenario with the head to head win.
