Bison Video Blog: Spring Game Postgame Show

North Dakota State concluded spring practice inside the Dome with its annual Green and Gold game, which because of injuries and trying to prevent future injuries turned it into an advanced scrimmage. Several players had solid days, led by Dimitri Williams, who had four receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown. Williams received a lot of reps because of injuries at wide receiver and I think is a player that bears watching come August.
Easton Stick was 10 of 15 for 130 yards and a touchdown and looked like the leader of the offense.
Two players on defense caught my eye, the first was linebacker Aaron Mercadel, who had a team high five tackles. Keep an eye on him during the first couple of weeks of fall camp. The second is safety Jaxon Brown, he only had one tackle, but I liked the way he played.
So that’s spring football for 2016. NDSU is seventeen Saturdays away from its season opener with Charleston Southern, but make sure you keep the blog in your favorites, plenty of good content coming this summer.
