When the Mid-Con site visit delegation takes a tour of the city of Fargo in less than two weeks, you know C. Warner Litten will be smiling from above. Litten was one of a selected few folks who helped build the town into a nice, clean mid-sized city.
It’s probably a safe bet the Mid-Con people will be at least somewhat impressed with Fargo. I’ve heard countless times administrators and coaches visiting Fargo for the first time were surprised we drive cars — not covered wagons.
Litten died this week at 91. Fargo is indeed a Division I community and Litten is a big reason why.
