Dom’s FCS Poll – Thru Week 7

Dom’s FCS Poll – Thru Week 7

Jeff’s post I think hit the nail on the head on what many voters are trying to rationalize tonight. Where to rank NDSU after the loss to South Dakota State? This is I how I answered that question:

  • Sam Houston State: 6-0 record. Beat a D-2 school, their other five opponents have a combined record of 9-22, strength of schedule not high.
  • Eastern Washington: 5-1 record. Head to head loss against NDSU, beat Northern Iowa, from top rated Valley Conference and beat PAC-12’s Washington State.
  • North Dakota State: 5-1 record. Wins over Charleston Southern, Eastern Washington and previously ranked Illinois State. FBS win over Big 10’s Iowa, high strength of schedule.
  • The Citadel: 6-0 record. The Bulldogs also have  a D2 win, but their win over top 5 ranked Chattanooga is better than anything that Sam Houston has done.
