Jeff’s Poll Vote: Where to Put the Bison?

Jeff’s Poll Vote: Where to Put the Bison?

I’ve gone back and forth on where to put the Bison this week after the loss at South Dakota State. It’s a dilemma on poll criteria — is it more about the entire season or a snapshot in one week? I usually put it somewhere between, which is the subjective nature of it. On that note, I’m putting the Jacks No. 2 because they were clearly the better team on Saturday and on that level the better team the last three weeks. So there is that “between” reasoning — better in the last few weeks plus last week even though on the whole the Bison have a better record.

As for the bottom end of the poll, the fact Grambling State barely beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff, one of the worst in the FCS, is a very bad win. Sorry, out of the poll. Montana, left for dead a couple of times, resurrected again with a win over Northern Arizona. The Big Sky and Missouri Valley are going down to the wire with two weeks to go.
