Playing during the day

Playing during the day

For NDSU fans longing for seeing the Bison in primetime, it seems like those days are in the past. South Dakota State announced Friday that the Jacks-Bison game on October 3rd will be played at 6 that night, marking the first night game for the Bison in 2015. There is still one date that we don’t know the time and that is October 24th at Indiana State, but one would be speculate that will be a day game.

That’s in stark contrast to a few years ago when NDSU played at least two night games at home, not counting the FBS games. (Ball State, Iowa State, Kansas, Minnesota in ’11, Colorado State and Kansas State were all played at night) Just look at the last five years:

NDSU at Weber State was one of only two night games for the Bison in 2014.

NDSU at Weber State was one of only two night games for the Bison in 2014.

2010 – 5 night games; 4 at home (Kansas, Northern Iowa, Morgan State, USD and Robert Morris)

2011 – 4 night games; 3 at home (Lafayette, St. Francis, at Minnesota and Missouri State)

2012 – 5 night games; 2 at home (Robert Morris, at CSU, at UNI, at USD, Georgia Southern)

2013 – 2 night games; 1 at home (at Kansas State, New Hampshire)

2014 – 2 night games; 1 at home (at Weber State, Sam Houston State)

What do you think Bison fans? Prefer night or day games? I know for our deadlines, we love the day games.
