FCS Pick ‘Em- Semifinal Edition

And so the coronation can begin for Mr. Kolpack, after an 8-1 record last week storming thru the D-2 and D-3 picks, he can rightfully say to me all year long that he knows more than me on picking games. But I would like to ask him if he has any idea what league San Jose State, Butler or Florida International will play in next year! Sour grapes I know, we have a huge night of coverage planned, for those that live in the Red River Valley, I’ll  be live on the field at 5 and 6 on WDAY, and for those that aren’t our website will have our interviews there, the PreGame Show will fire up around 5, and live blog as well. FCS Pick Em – Quarterfinal Edition

Two playoff rounds and a dead heat, took a couple fliers last week on Illinois State, Cal Poly and Stony Brook, only the Redbirds came back with a win, Jeff tried on Coastal Carolina, but won on the games I lost on, so we got a tie game going here. Some great games this weekend, a reminder that all 4 home teams won last year in the quarterfinals. Look for our picks on the NDSU-Wofford game in tomorrow’s Forum and of course the Bison PreGame Show located in the NDSU Student Section line outside the Dome! Also let’s see Kolpack’s knowledge on Division 2 and 3 Football!

I have been informed that the Pick ‘Em Nickel is NOT up for grabs since the Dakota Marker is not in play this weekend between NDSU and SDSU, this also may coincide for the 1st time in a while I have a lead on Mr. Kolpack after last week’s games. We hope everyone enjoyed the videos from yesterday, we’ll have a full day of coverage starting tomorrow at 1 with our PreGame Show and I have been promised it will be playoff worthy. Well we all know how the regular season went down in this battle between Jeff and I but a new season begins tomorrow and now all the talk can stop and we’ll see what happens. For those that read the blog faithfully and have access, all of tomorrow’s games will be on ESPN 3. FCS Pick Em – Week 12

Well all it took was a concession speech from me to actually make things interesting! My best week of the year after I see Jeff proudly display his half of the Nickel Trophy and now I’m only down 8 games heading into the final week of the FCS regular season. There are some terrific games this weekend, this is the most amount of games we’ll pick; keep your eye on the SoCon teams they’re playing the SEC this weekend, so Georgia Southern and Wofford have tall tasks. We have a huge day of NDSU coverage planned from Normal tomorrow, the pregame show and live blog launch around 11 am, we’ll then have you covered with our bracketology video blog after the game, Jeff and I will try to pick the entire 20 team which admittedly will be the hardest to do since we started doing this in 2010. Well Jeff is waiting for me to wave the white flag here, that’s not going to happen, although I will admit a seven-game deficit with four weeks of play left is about as dire a situation as there is. I was considering putting some New York Division 3 hockey picks on here to try and gain some sort of advantage, but I can’t do that in the spirit of competition. FCS Pick ‘Em – Week 8

It’s been a tough week, despite a solid 9-5 record last week, Kolpack’s dominating 2012 continued to the tune of a 11-3 week and now leads by six games. Early exit polls would say this is over, but the Mets fan in me reminds everyone they blew a seven-game lead with 17 to play in 2007, so as John Rambo once famously said, “Nothing is over….nothing!” Big weekend coming in Sioux Falls, I’m hearing all the stops will be pulled out for our pregame show tomorrow, that’s where you’ll find our pick for the Bison-USD game along with tomorrow’s paper. Here are the picks!
