Video Blog: Fall Camp 2017 Wraps Up

Fall camp officially wrapped Monday morning inside the Fargodome as NDSU began class. It’s been a long fall camp, with the elimination of two-a-days and the Bison not playing in the FCS Kickoff, game preparation hasn’t really started for Mississippi Valley State. Jeff and I recap camp and give some thoughts on the opposite corner position, which is still open.

Some other notes not in the video blog: Austin Kuhnert and Cole Karcz were back at practice on Monday after missing some time with injuries. Each look to play in the season opener on September 2nd.  The Bison will resume a normal afternoon practice schedule with school back in session.

I have already blogged about the death of the FCS Kickoff, but now it’s really jumped the shark. There’s an FCS game before the FCS Kickoff! Florida A&M plays Texas Southern at 11 am on ESPNU and while Chattanooga-Jax State are playing at 5:30, Colgate-Cal Poly kickoff at 6. For those of us that love the FCS, that’s fun to watch, but it has totally devalued the FCS Kickoff. Likely NDSU will not be back in the game.
